ON A CITY MISSION
Off to the city and ready to test the new heels. The new ankle booties completed the outfit to a tee, until the cringing moment of blisters from new shoes occurred. As i tried to strut down the Melbourne streets my walk started to look more like a limp. After 200 meters i had given up i was not prepared for this torture even though I'm often heard saying "no pain, no gain" but the thought of my newly repaired bunion aching was starting to give me guilt. I had no other choice but to find the nearest shoe store, asap. With a new pair of brown gladiator flats with bronze hardware fastened to my aching feet, i was a born again woman. Just without the extra 4 1/2 inches....
I love mixing different prints, textures and fabrics together. Here i have a satin camisole in latte and turquoise, an off white lace bolero and a high waisted cream skirt. Mixing white, cream and off white, gives your look a fresh and simplistic feel. It's such a different take on black on black or grey and charcoal. I've used dark accessories to contrast against the lights. Don't assume that winter fashion must always be dark and dreary.
