Xmas Presie...thanks hunni

Now i know christmas is about family and time together but one of the exciting parts of christmas is christmas giving and receiving. Lets all be honest here, its so exciting opening the christmas paper wondering what it could be..... My fiance did receive a hot tip a while back but he did himself good remembering the colour and leather. This Ted Baker wallet is buttery soft and divine in colour. I love the unusual design of a purse clip, so chic, so original, so very me. Thanks hunni xoxox

Come to the country with meeeeeeeee

Another one of my sneaky purchases for the week. I just love the colours in this tie shirt. I've been wanting to embrace the mid-drift trend for some time but have just had the ultimate fear of a sneaky muffin top. This shirt however is a shorter n wide fit shirt which eases me into the mid-drift trend when paired with some high waisted jeans or shorts. I'm off to work in this number and working the western look with a big belt buckle and big hair. This one is another bargain from Sportsgirl $29.95 with a further 30% off. Doesn't even matter if i only wear it for summer, it would've paid for it self by then!

T'is The Season For Shopping

4.

Being the week of Christmas and all and working in retail, i feel i've been seduced by a great product offering this week. I had a little bit of buyers remorse thinking i shouldn't be buying for myself before Christmas, however these are all essentials i need.

1.Moroccanoil Kit: apparently 'the perfect thing for my hair' after the damage i've done via bleach baths. And it is great for your hair doesn't just coat it with a shine like other products, it works deep into the hair to restore it with vitality and shine. Divine! And the salon owner bought 2000 of these packs and only had two left so that is saying something. Great buy for $110

2.Invisible Zinc Foundation in Tan: I'm heading to Perth Christmas day, yippee and this foundation is uv protectant, water proof, wind proof and has a spf of 30. It has great coverage or you can use it as a concealer and dab it on the bad bits. Cute and compact for handbag touch ups. Just from Priceline. around $40

3.Oversized Corsage: i think its great to collect accessories like this to update your look through out the year. I already have this in fuchsia but at this time of year on sale its worth it to collect a few. Great colour for hair, on jackets and on dresses. Sportsgirl, $4.95 with a further 30% off atm dirt cheap!!!

4. Grandma's handbag: As soon as i saw this bag i fell in love, maybe because it has the shape of a designer handbag, but has the originality of a vintage piece. This is my in between Prada handbag, i needed an update that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Sportsgirl bag, new instore $59.95

So this is me justifying my buys as you can see they are all essential....oh and i bought a cute checked shirt too and priori eye cream online. That's all i promise.

Merry Christmas Fashionistas xoxoxo

So today was the day to mission ahead and see if the five years of black build up on my hair could be turned into some sort of other colour. So we decided on a bleach bath and the hairdresser could not believe that the black was not moving so take two and it started to budge, it was still a dark brown with a red tinge. A red permanent wash later and a trim, four and a half hours later and viola this is the result! what do you think? its so nice to have a bit of warmth near my face, don't know if the boy approves but after all its my head so too bad. Time to work it out as a semi red head xox

TWO bleach baths later......

Colour Remover

So I'm one of those girls that is attached to her long locks like Kate Moss is to coke. I've had long hair for years, its all mine and I go for a subtle colour change only. My hair is naturally dark brown and after being shades of chocolate and red about 5 years back I went black and as true as the saying is, once I went black I never went back. And I literally could not change! I requested wait for it...blue black, turns out blue black on black = black! So after looking the same for the last five years, I've decided since I live in the fashion savvy place Melbourne, I need to lift my game in the hair stakes.

So i approached the hair dresser and asked to book something different for a change,a process using hair remover, not bleach a subtle process that removes build up which may not be seen to the naked eye. So hopefully i'll be a gradual brunette in no time and then i can be a raven head my ultimate dream. So watch this hairspace!

A day in the life of GOOT

Honey do I look like I have time to talk? vogue and tanning are priority!

Obviously i'm upset, washing up! do you know what it does to these hands? not to mention the jacket!

You're kidding me! Is it impossible to hang out the washing in a stiletto heel and not sink into the ground, I think not!

Look I understand that it may take a while but I'm a busy lady...maybe we could come to some sort of agreement?

From time to time you have to escape the loud noises that fill your head....this is my special place.

I'm not normally a fan of the theatre but get your GOOT OUT!!!

Ladies and gentleman!, i hearby introduce you to the newest love of my life; my darling dearest Josh Goot jacket!!! (cue round of applause) this is the official first wear around the house. One has to be careful of when to wear these things when they cost more than your life! arghh i know but honestly it was love at first sight.
The cut, THE PRINT!

I was walking through the GPO building, studying vm displays for school and the Belinda window literally did an 'hallelujah' to me as I walked past. So I walked past and I was thinking about it like a new crush, I had to see him again. So on a disappointing Monday lunch I walked in, I took the first step and I tried the Goot on. He knew the way to talk to me, touch me, he was perfect. Even with the red and white hounds tooth dress i was wearing at the time it was simply perfect.

So I left and I had to call a friend we approached the Goot together, she agreed that yes we were a match made in heaven. Playing hard to get I left the store once again. Up the corridor in Life with Bird I contemplated; hmm do I need to eat? is it really true love? the sales assistant interrupted by rants 'do they have lay-by?'Lay-by? why didn't I think of that??? so off to see my crush again I barely walked into his front door but simply beckoned from across the room, 'do you have lay-by?' yes, yes we do. Hallelujah! I floated on a cloud over to the register, it was the only one in my size and colour, i was right we were meant to be together. 40% deposit on the lay-by? no worries credit card you got it!! float float floating fabulously deliriously out of the store.

Discussing with friend í'm totally not regretting this decision, i feel really good about this investment'float float float down bourke st mall. Thump, thump, thump arghh what's that feeling, uh oh could it be? arghh buyers remorse, nausea freaking out! half my pay a week for six weeks, oh my god in need of a paper bag. Friend slowly calm, calm, calming me down......

Over six weeks later, i am calm, i am collected and i am thrilled to bits with my purchase! The man may not understand but hey, when do they ever really? So to celebrate the pickup of the GOOT i'll be showcasing some fabulous looks so come back for more because the GOOT will definately steal your heart too.

Lost in Love xoxoxo

HITTING THE TOWN

So i decided i needed to harden the f up and get my ass on the party circuit! Here is my sis and i all ready for a night of fun. Pity we had to wait ten years for a cab and didn't get in till after 12. So we went we saw we danced. I was unsure whether my mini would be happening in the cool weather but turns out no one wears clothes out in melb! Perhaps it was where we went. So there were boobs out, legs out, hair extensions out and over applied makeup. Hmmm the more i think about it, we were probably at the wrong places, considering melb is a fashion capital and all. The beefed up guys would punch their fists to the beat, only concerned with the jaw workout they were getting from their gum. So no harassment on the guy front. I just hope i wasn't mistaken for one of those 'perma tanned, skin baring, over kill of makeup girls' Oh and i got given fake money from the cab driver, thanks for that turns out you can't buy much with paper.....

CHADVEGAS SHOPPING TRIP

Off to Chadstone yet again, this time my sister is over from Tas so I'm playing the tourist guide. After two trains one bus we finally made it in one piece. In case you were wondering, no i don't have my license, yes i am 23, yes I've had my Ls for like 6 or 7 years but finally I've started doing something about it and are having weekly lessons. In Melb of all places! and a manual so give me a little credit here.

Now back to Chaddy, so its a blustery, rainy day. Instead of giving in to layer upon layer of clothing, i subsidised pants for high boots, a Lil leg and a bat wing dress with sexy hidden cut outs. I love just casually lifting my arms in this peekaboo dress! So i played the helpful stylist to my sister as did Jesse from the Sportsgirl styling studio (thanks babe) I even found some Xmas pressies (thanks hunni) not allowed to have them till Xmas but i got a fabulous hat a la Samantha in the sex and the city movie une and a dazzling necklace. Love it!! counting done the days now. Well we are still contemplating going out tonight so I'll let you know if i was a loser and piked, or got my kit on and rocked that d floor!!

MAKE ME THE DEVIL IN PRADA!!!

Today i spent trekking around Chadstone shopping centre and my what a lovely centre it is. How convenient when you walk in the first stores you see are; Tiffany, Burberry, Gucci and Coach. As i floated around the top level i thought how calm and pleasant this experience is.....that was until you got to the ground floor to fuel yourself with food at the food court and realise it was kids gone wild, arghh how did it get from A-b? ohhh Think, its a Sunday, right the families come out to play i get it. So i headed back up stairs and floated on a bubble into Prada, ohhh why must i need to eat when there is Prada bags to purchase, scratch proof leather? perfect, gold hardware? even better, Chic black and smaller size? how convenient... With a bag code on a card in my hand and a price i refuse to acknowledge i floated back out the door. Damn you lunch that could've gone towards the Prada.

Myer Bourke St Spring Racing Launch

Last night Myer Bourke street was all about fashion and spring racing style. Throngs of people were out for sneak peeks at the newest looks, discounted product, complimentary bubbly and the one and only Jennifer Hawkins. The fashions were gorgeous, some of the styling was mediocre but overall a good result. People went hat and fascinator mad as they pushed and shoved their way around tables and shelves. 25% off is a pretty generous incentive, so why not? The event was also for Myer to showcase their new refurb and it looks great. Space is utilised much better, product visible and dramatic architecture and propping. So apart from the missing glass of bubbles in my hand it was a great showcase of what Myer has to offer.

Cute as a button hair do.

The dreaded pashmina......

Miss Universe winner Jen Hawkins just casually strutting her stuff, looking amazing!

Hot dress, bad picture taking! I accidentally caught this model in a awkward pose oops my bad. As you can see colour is everywhere this spring, which as you know makes me very happy. For racing day there is nothing more visually appealing then looking out into a sea of glorious colour and frocks! make me proud ladies.

Hello Handsome!

I'm not sure about this pashmina trend, the shawl is too heavy for the dress and frankly it just looks dowdy. If you're a fashion forward lady then don't follow this trend unless your're going for that waspy grandma look.

I love the zingy colour of this dress, the draped sleeves and low v back are to die for. Racing dress with a difference, Pop that colour!

The one shoulder dress is reigning supreme this spring, am i fan? in small unique doses perhaps but this silhouette is bordering on mass production, so if you want to stand out from the crowd give the one shoulder the flick, as you'll be one in a million on race day..

Simple, chic and little bit of za za zu sparkle. Channel a modern day Audrey in this simple shift and look effortlessly chic not to mention comfort will be key.
