ON A CITY MISSION

Off to the city and ready to test the new heels. The new ankle booties completed the outfit to a tee, until the cringing moment of blisters from new shoes occurred. As i tried to strut down the Melbourne streets my walk started to look more like a limp. After 200 meters i had given up i was not prepared for this torture even though I'm often heard saying "no pain, no gain" but the thought of my newly repaired bunion aching was starting to give me guilt. I had no other choice but to find the nearest shoe store, asap. With a new pair of brown gladiator flats with bronze hardware fastened to my aching feet, i was a born again woman. Just without the extra 4 1/2 inches....

I love mixing different prints, textures and fabrics together. Here i have a satin camisole in latte and turquoise, an off white lace bolero and a high waisted cream skirt. Mixing white, cream and off white, gives your look a fresh and simplistic feel. It's such a different take on black on black or grey and charcoal. I've used dark accessories to contrast against the lights. Don't assume that winter fashion must always be dark and dreary.

Tom Ford for Gucci, Fall '04

One of my all time favourite collections. So glamorous and regal, gowns of gem like coloured hues, where strong femininity rules. In this collection, Tom Ford could do no wrong in my eyes.

HELLO LOVER

These were the words that came out of my mouth as soon as i set eyes on these babies. I've been waiting for the perfect ankle boot and these; Tony Bianco peep toe, hard ware detailed boots are perfection. So i snapped these new wheels up and cannot wait for the test drive. Brrrrrrrrrm

Its 630am and I'm off to work hence the lifelessness in my eyes. coffee, coffee, gimme coffee. As you can see i love my over the knee boots. A bit chilly today so in order to rock my summer pastel shorties all i need is some opaques and winter boots. Who said summer shorts aren't trans-seasonal? I love a fur feature stole, faux of course!! Add a lace tee, cropped blazer, straw fedora, layered wrist and slouchy bag and you've got a mix of texture, print and thrown together fabulousness. Note to self: girlfriend you need to clean your room!!

Feather Frivolities

Although Peacock feathers may be known for being bad luck,
i believe with a touch of golden egg yellow and a belt to nip the waist, gives you all the luck you need. As for Mary Kate Olsen, 100% glamour. I would shimmy my way into this outfit in a heartbeat.

FEELING FEATHERS

I love nothing more than an over sized knit in a graphic print. Sooo versatile. Wear it over tights, skinnys, a mini or teeny tiny shorts. As for feathers i love the OTT fabulousness of them. The green and black sheen of the feathers take flight as you glide down the street. This is my day to day interpretation of the feather trend but for night, wear over an evening gown for true hollywood glamour.
