ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DOLLAR

One thing i love about work atm is having no uniform, it is fantastic having free reign to express yourself through your work atttire, as long as it looks good that is..... Being a lover of all things colour, i find it difficult at times when wearing black, so my solution to this problem? great accessories. My snake coil necklace came out to play again, a gold belt and a fabulous leopard print bright fuschia pink and orange scarf helped lift my look. After all everyone needs a lil colour in their life...

TRAINING DAY

Another day in Melbourne on Chapel St, its a warm day but damn it has a wind. I love my feather collar but i literally looked like i was taking flight down the street. It's funny so many people commented on 'loving' my jacket (although it is a separate collar) and it just makes me wonder how many people that said they loved it would actually wear it? Its time to get your balls back fashionistas, take a risk with what you wear if you love a look, what is stopping you from wearing it? I'm no model, so you can work it which ever way you like, its not about your figure or even your clothes its the attitude you bring, so bring it! I'm decked out in a sheer black lace maxi skirt, blush blouse, sequin jacket and feather collar. Surprise surprise it is all Sportsgirl. A bun and a bright lip make this look more high street. Quote of the day......Take a Risk

CHAPEL ST

So i ventured to Melbourne for training in my new management position at ZU shoes, and being that i had to work on Chapel St, it was essential that i was looking the up most fashionable. There's nothing more i love in fashion trends at the moment then block colours that pop. So i whipped out the red leather skirt and prayed to Jesus that it would not split as i climbed my way up ladders in the stockroom. A blue bralet is perfectly teamed with a high waist. So looking half wonder woman off i ventured to work the fashion strip.....

Power Dressing

My red obsession is clearly evident...so sue me! This red vintage number i love! It reminds me of the 80s power dressing and leaves me reminiscing of Samantha off Sex and the City...hello bombshell! I hope. Sexy without being too revealing, one or the other is usually the way i go; cleavage or legs and maybe both for extra special occasions.

I love playing with makeup different colours make it all the more fun. Big brows are important to me, i feel they play such an important part in framing the face. You are probably wondering what is going on with my legs, so to answer your question, they are stockings. However i have been followed down the street whilst wearing these and people have yelled 'nice tatts' hmm i know what you're thinking they should come with a warning. So only wear if you want attention....

DRAPE ME

<

I find that when you travel to places whether new/ old, near or far its always nice to take away a little memento whether it be a great coffee, a great experience or perhaps a new piece of clothing? You're probably thinking that i walked away with the later but to be honest it was all three. A drive to Hobart a fantastic coffee from Campbell Town, a great time catching up with friends and a fabulous new purchase to wear to my sisters going away drinks.

As soon as i laid eyes on this long lined beige/ blush jacket i was in need of it. I love the length, the way it falls and the fact that it has pockets and sleeves!! It was a bargain steal at $149 from Belle & Paige boutique. The brand is staple and i will be keeping my eye out for more of their designs. It looks fantastic with a skinny belt cinched at the waist giving it a more wintry day time feel.

Being a Friday night i wanted to add a lil glam without being too OTT so bling i did in a sequin mini. To tone it down a black t-shirt made it a lil less revealing. I love snake inspired jewellery and the fact that this necklace is black, silver and gold makes it not too matchy with other accessories. My bronze jewelled cuff was a present from Mama gifted from Paris. The clutch is actually an ipad case from Sportsgirl, i love the colour reminds me of Hermes, i can only dream. As for the shoes i love the height and the laces, a night without a heel is like a lonely night in......... and we cannot have that

Race You To The Bar

In case you hadn't figured it out yet, i am in love, lust and infatuated with all things red. To me red represents; power, sex appeal, assertiveness and being in control. Without even registering what i am doing i start walking towards items in bright hues of red. Whether it is sheets, lipstick, handbags or perhaps a leather skirt? I was walking past a vintage window display where everything was red, vibrant and in my eyes fabulous. I saw a red leather skirt and immediately i had to see more. I tried it on but was unsure i could barely bend in the thing and yes it could be perfect for those standing cocktails but honey my heels aren't made for comfort! So i left annoyed that my hips did not lie in the leather skirt.

I was still thinking about the skirt and it was only $40! so i returned i tried my hips were somewhat more forgiving the second time round and voila purchase i did. I decided to snip the lining a wee bit before heading out because lets face it a rip as i park my rear is not preferred. I am happy that i returned, purchased and are now in deep love with my red leather skirt. A stripe tee made it slightly more demure and a bling belt ring and glomesh clutch takes it from cafe to bar, heels are essential and a blazer is a must have.

If you haven't dabbled in a red fetish i suggest trying it, you'll be completely in control....

She's a lady, whoah whoah whoah

So i took my own advice on the preening front, but it wasn't for just a lazy stroll down the street quite the opposite really. The state hair comps were on in Hobart yesterday and i got kitted up for Launceston Hair Salon Bliss, i got my 50s house wife on and shimmied my way down the catwalk with my ol mates Eddie from the 60s and Farrah from the 70s a fantastic day and our hairdresser Hayley received runner up. I had quite the time getting into character and I'll you give you the tip if you need to act more like a lady and less like a ladette.... start dressing like one because it does wonders for the figure, you'll find it very hard to slouch in a corset. I was given a funny glance when i requested a straw with my glass of bubbles, but honey with these lips? i can't risk a lip bleed!

Dita Von Teese....Me please

Dita Von Fabulous, the epitome of preening to perfection. The flawlessly finished face, the airbrushed alabaster skin, the immaculate hair and the VA VA VOOM figure! But how does she do it?? in an age where shaggy hair, ripped tights and smudged eyeliner is considered the norm, how does Dita have the time and energy to maintain her look? Apparently she has said that it isn't that hard at all and once you've got your set perfected you are set for life. We all need a little more poise and glamour in our lives, mean while I'm sitting here typing with messy regrowth styled hair, a bare face and a set of trackies.....note to self, start taking own advice.

WEEKEND AWAY

My weekend just gone was spent with great friends, wine and music in the ol town of Hobart. I drove down Friday afternoon and sang my way through the two hour drive. Finally when i had reached the destination i was greeted with open arms and a glass of vodka ahhh now the night could begin. A ladies night out is in definite need of a sexy tuned outfit, i went for the 'kardashian' skirt as i call it hugging in all the femme form places. I'm tres in love with my red heels so they made an appearance both Friday and Saturday night, they make me feel sexy and in control so why decline a double appearance? My tassel edged top was perfect for shimmying the night away. The look was in need of some serious bling so out came the swarovski bling, slight name drop here, JLO wore them in her film clip with pitbull but i totally had them first ;) A shaggy knit jacket protected me from the chill and my Rachael Ruddick cuff added some tough bling. The night was a hit as was the outfit.............

1/4 of a Century

Last night i celebrated my besties 25th birthday with dinner and drinks with the gals. What a night and what a ruckus four semi behaved ladies can make! The night began with dinner and drinks, followed by laughter, stories and inappropriateness. The night carried onwards to cocktails and dancing we liked to think we 'started' the d floor. An impromptu dance off was just what i needed to wear in my new red shoes, but the electricity from our dance moves must've been too smoking as the power went out!! This did not rain on our parade as we danced around the bar. Although i haven't felt my freshest today the headache and the weariness was definitely worth it!

The plan for my outfit was casual sexiness, here accessories were key, red bag, shoes and blinged out earrings. With the high waisted jeans a striped body suit worked a treat mby helping to minimize the overhang drama. A mens vintage shirt tied throws a look together that is timeless yet current with popping accessories.

Happy 25th Birthday Ronnie, Love You Lots xoxoxo

Accidental Shopping Spree

Why is it when it's someone else's birthday and you are already spending money on them it gives you an even bigger urge to spend money on yourself? Well it seems to be the week of birthdays with my besties and i have justified my purchases due to the need to look fabulous on their night out of celebrations. The red siren suede heels i could not walk past, to die for height and peep toe style. Plus my favourite colour is va va voom red as these are and if i am to be the lady in red this weekend then so be it, i shall! The coloured gem earrings were a bargain and i love love loved the coral reef colour combo, perfect to offset my dark mane, as for the bling hoops that you could practically throw b'balls through...sometimes bigger is better!! So these will be ensembled together and on show tomorrow night for my besties bday, stay tuned for the look...xox

Le Long Weekend

Ahhh don't we all appreciate life that little bit more when we are rewarded with long weekends and time off. The rule of thumb for long weekends seems to be; squeeze as much as you possibly can into your extended time off. This ultimately results in lack of sleep, cash and sanity. As you can see my weekend is going marvelously, the bigger the bags under my eyes the better the weekend! This is definitely a detriment to my working ability, sleep pattern and all round health and well being. But the gods gave us an extra day to run a muck for a reason....

Anyways as shiat as you feel there's no excuse to make no effort. So put some peg leg harems on a basic tee and some sparkle and voila you have a thrown together weekend ensemble. Outfit by Sportsgirl, Necklace by Thomas Sabo, Cuff by Rachael Ruddick, Watch by Emporio Armani, Sunnies by Prada and Shoes by Tony Bianco.

Hope you all have had a fabulous weekend, don't do anything i wouldn't do ;)
