FASHION WEEKEND

Loreal Fashion Week in Melbourne also opened my eyes to Fashion weekend. Fashion weekend is a weekend where Australian designers have a stall and sell discounted product that is replenished each day of the weekend. It was my first experience and it was very exciting, i thought i was going to have an Isla Fisher 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' moment and fight over bargains with eager shoppers. Being on the tight budget i am, i said to my girlfriend when i went in í want a statement piece that has longevity, like costumer jewellery'The first thing i grabbed was a Shakuhachi Black lace bralet. but then i moved on to House Of Baulch and fell in love with this pink and gold statement collection, i decided a set was better then a bralet so i went i saw and i came out with what i went in looking for. Mum would be so proud....

All that glitters is gold

Off to the city for a bit of 'window shopping', that's is all I can do when I'm in a limbo type state. I've finished fashion school this week, I'm working casual and I want to find my feet in a full time job in the wide world of fashion. Let me warn you, the fashion jungle that is out there, it's dangerous, brutal in fact. You have to be prepared to fight for your fashion title and like those gladiators on the big podium with marshmallow ended looking sticks, you've also got to be prepared to fall down once in a while. So here is my plan, home time to Tassie for a month to let my mama fuss over me, to get my resume and contacts together and start looking for my future opportunities. I also hope to gain a thicker skin whilst I'm away, to prepare myself for the fashion battle. Wish me luck xoxo
