MY ENGAGEMENT PARTY!!!!!

Saturday just gone my fiance and i had our engagement party. It was a fantastic night spent with friends and family from all around Tassie and interstate. I found this little number in a vintage shop, sooo beautiful from the 80s, shoulder pads and all. In order to not appear too bridey i teamed it with some patent bondage inspired shoes and some rock chic hair. For the hair i was inspired from a pic of Kate Moss attending a party with Donatella Versace. She had fantastic braid work and a high pony. I wanted something a little more dramatic, hence the Elvis type quiff. I love an excuse to get dolled up and go all out and when it's my own party i have no boundaries with my attire.

Layered Up

Back in Hobart and feeling the crisper weather. Pity i packed for the Melbourne sun. Thank god for tights, over the knee boots, lightweight spring knits and lots of embellished vintage fun. I love this new jacket of mine what a steal for $25. I know jello right? I know what you're thinking i look like a moody bitch but the sun was glaring and it was still kinda early........ that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it :P

A Generous Gesture

For the Easter break i took the spirit over from Melb to Tas. What a long tedious day trip it is, i recommend the night shift. I met a lovely lady named Naomi who was knitting up a storm in the recliner behind me. When i asked what she was making she said maybe a little hat. I spoke of my love for berets and how i like them to sit, feel etc. By the end of the trip she had masterly whipped up this wonderful creation and gave it to me. Such a beautiful gesture. Love the colours and made from 100% cotton. Naomi has a bright future ahead anyone interested in personalised knits let me know, I'll pass it on.

It's Easter Monday and I'm recovering from some crazy type of viral conjunctivitis that lasted two weeks, so comfy chick is essential. Just off to do some bowling so a bf jean is perfect for all that bend and snapping. Love my mums old lace tee so versatile, long line cardie keeps me warm and a paisley turquoise scarf gives it just a touch of za za zoooo. Tis the week of my engagement partay so very excited, a day of pre pampering is a must as is the vintage 80s dress that is just dying to be worn!! keep your eyes peeled for engagement party fashion frivolities!!!

The ECCENTRIC Mix

A snapshot of some of my extensive robe. I'm a lover for anything embellished, beautiful bold prints, luxurious fabrics, floor length vintage gowns, all types of jackets; cropped, pea, trench, kimono, tux, leather, bomber, bf blazer. Never met a jacket i couldn't work with. One of the pros of having broad shoulders. I'm looking to sell a pack of my clothes on eBay so watch this space for updates. Gives me excuse to add more to the collection, its all about wants not needs.... of course
